Video tutorial full with lessons
hello this is on our from Lilly knits knitting and crochet in this tutorial I’m going to how you how to crochet the bumpy Rose crochet stitch pattern this is an easy stitch to master and it creates a dense fabric that is really cozy which is why I used it in my free
cozy baby blanket pattern which you can find along with many more free patterns.
To chain you just yarn over your hook and pull it through the loop yarn over pull through so I have two chains here and I’m going to continue chaining until I have 18 and 18 is just a multiple of four plus two so 16 plus two so there’s three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14 15 sorry 16 17 18 so there’s our foundation chain which is 18 stitches and then we’ll begin.
First row now that we have our foundation chain of 18 we’re going to start our first row which is simply a single crochet in every stitch along the foundation chain starting at the second stitch so we skip the first stitch which is this one right here and we go into.
The second and we work our single crochet all the way down the line at the end of
the first row you should have your work should look like this so a single crochet in every stitch all the way across and when you reach the end of the row we just simply chain two and turn our work to begin the second row of our stitch pattern.
Now that we have our first row complete this is where the fun begins and where we actually begin to see what our pattern is going to look like so we have our two chains from the previous round and we start by working three double crochets into our first single crochet.
So we yarn over insert our hook and pull through a loop we pull through two loops and we pull through the remaining two loops so again yarn over pull through pull through the two loops remaining on the hook and pull through again so those are double crochets so we have two and we want to work one more and now we skip our next three single crochets and work a single crochet in the next stitch so skip one two three and work.
A single crochet in the next stitch followed by three double crochets in the same stitch just like we had done before so we work one two oops this yarn there we go and three so this is what it looks like and we continue on following this pattern until the end of the row so we skip three one two three work our single crochet whoops single crochet not double and then three doubles. Easy do Free Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern beautiful.
Our single crochet and our three doubles all in the same stitch until the end of the road at the end of the row and you have four stitches remaining you’ll want to just work a single crochet into the last stitch so we skip three and we work I made my last it’s really small here but we need to work our single crochet right into that last stitch like so so after your second row this is what your work should look like and then you chain two and turn.
Your work we work Row three pretty much the same way that we worked row two
except this time we’re working into our pattern stitches instead of just a row of single crochets we work our three single crochets in our first single crochet sorry we work our
three double crochets there’s one two three and then we skip the next three double crochets and we work our single crochet three double crochet into the single crochet from the stitch below so we skip these three to be Free Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern.
We just work into our little single crochet there so you can see I’ve worked one single and three doubles into my single crochet and we just do this until the end of the row so it’s pretty easy to see now where you need to do your stitches you just skip the tall ones and work them into the little one so sorry we skip these three and we work our single crochet and three double crochets into the single crochet stitch to Free Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern beautiful.
From the row below until we’ve reached the end of the row at the end of the row we want to work our last single crochet in the top of the turning chain so you can see your turning chain right here so just work a single crochet right into it and there you go so that’s row three and to get this stitch you just simply repeat Row three over and
over again so once you get the hang of it it’s actually a pretty soothing easy pattern
to work with which.
I hope you enjoy it if you can visit wwe.com you can check it out after working a few rows you should have something that looks a little bit like this as you can see it’s got a really neat bumpy texture to each row and it’s reversible so if you look at the other side it looks pretty much the same and I really love this like the stitch is awesome for blankets and pillow covers is just really cozy and most of all it’s it’s easy Free Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern.
